Christmas Eve Training Run
Today, I ran 4 miles on the Blackwater creek trail. My time was 35:59. My times are improving slowly. Today, I pushed myself to run harder than normal. I did not run the whole time, but I was running a 8:20 mile which is fast for me as much as I could during the run. I did walk a little about every 1/4 mile after the 3 mile mark. I am trying to get my time per mile down to around 8 min miles for at least 3 miles before I run the ten miler in April.
Today I also did my light weighting.

Background Continued..
I started running in May of 2007. I started out on a flat section of a local running trail. I set the distance at 3 miles, and I would run until I felt I could not continue. I usually would run for about 10 minutes and walk for a minute or two, then I would procede to run until tired again. I ran 3 days a week, and each time I tried to run further than I ran before I started walking. My time for my first 3 mile run was 38:00.
Today:
50 sit-ups
40 stomach cruches
3.2 mile run 30:53
Weightlifting: Brench press, leg curls, lat pulldowns, quad curls, military press

Background
I wanted to start running for health reasons, basically to get in better shape and health. I have never run any type of distance races or trained for a distance race. I start running when I was 36 and weighed about 215 lbs. I am not a fast person and never will be a fast runner. I just do it for the fun of it and to lose some weight. More tomorrow.....
Training today:
5 mile run
Ed Page to 2.5 mile mark on Kemper Street Trail. Rolling with some hills.
Temperature about 42 and sunny, time 315 pm
Running time: 47:46
